Our Story

The time has come to end their suffering and leave none behind.
Why CatLife247 exists, from the person who started it.
Before I could tie my shoes, I already knew what it felt like to lose a kitten in my hands.
My mother fostered for a local cat rescue for as long as I can remember, and from the time I could walk, I was right there beside her, bottle-feeding kittens too small and too fragile to survive without round-the-clock care. I was three, maybe four, the first time one of them didn't make it. I still remember exactly how that felt.
It wasn't the last time. A few years later I watched our family cat get hit by a car, right in front of our house. Then, a few years after that, a neighbor ran over my cat, and then came and bragged to me about it afterward, like it was nothing. I was just a kid. I didn't have the words for what I felt watching that happen, but I never forgot it, and I don't think I ever will.
Grief like that doesn't really leave you. It just changes what you notice. And once I started noticing the strays on every street corner, the ferals nobody was checking on, the cats nobody was coming back for, I couldn't stop. So about twenty years ago, with no training and no funding, I started trapping feral cats myself. I'd earn their trust, tame them, and find each one a real home. Somewhere they'd actually be kept, actually be loved.
Then one at a time stopped being enough
For a long time, that felt like enough. Then, about six years ago, it stopped. One cat, one home, one at a time. I wanted to build something that could actually solve this, at scale. The largest cat sanctuary in America.
I spent months looking for someone to build it with. I talked to everyone I could think of, and every single person had a reason it couldn't be done. Too big, too expensive, too far-fetched. Nobody matched what I was willing to put into it. Eventually I stopped asking and started building it myself, because clearly, if it was going to happen, it was on me.
Here's the thing about starting from where I started: I grew up with no father and a mother who struggled with addiction. We never owned a home. I've had nice cars, nice things, but never a home of my own. Not once. So I know better than most how far a dream like this is from where I began, and I know exactly what it takes to close that gap: money, and a lot of it.
That's why I didn't quit my full-time job. Instead, I built multiple income streams around a single purpose. Every dollar of profit from this business funds cat rescue and the sanctuary build.
And then the vision got bigger again
Somewhere along the way I kept meeting cat people. Genuinely good, dedicated people who were struggling to afford rent, or terrified of what would happen to their cats if something happened to them.
So the plan isn't just a sanctuary for cats anymore. It's a place for cat people too. A small, self-sufficient community where residents can trade their time, caring for cats or working inside one of CatLife247's businesses, for a place to live. No more choosing between rent and your cats. Just your cats, and whatever else you've always wanted to do with your life.
People from all over the country want to be part of this. Right now we are actively looking for investors and future residents ready to help get it off the ground.

We are not building it alone
CatLife247 has partnered with Feisty & Fabulous Cat Sanctuary Inc, who are currently applying for 501(c)(3) status. We are building the sanctuary together.
Feisty & Fabulous is a separate organization with its own mission and its own supporters. If you want to back them directly, that support goes to them, not to us.

How you can help
Every single thing in this store funds the sanctuary. There is no donation button you have to feel guilty about ignoring. You buy a shirt, a book or a coloring book for someone you love, and a cat gets fed.
You can also watch the YouTube channel for cat care and safety tips, everything from taming feral cats to reviews of the best cat water fountains, plus some of the funniest cat videos around.
